This 4.5-day course helps young people build self-confidence and strengthen leadership skills through an innovative curriculum that uses elements of Nature to teach fundamental life principles. Based on the nurturing "ANASAZI Way" philosophy, the wilderness-based program also invites introspection and teaches relationship techniques which are applicable in the home, school, and the community.

Young people participating in the DawnStar Expedition will learn the principles taught in ANASAZI Foundation's residential program, which was named by Leadership Excellence magazine as one of North America's top leadership development programs for 2006. Students participating will also hike, camp, and learn primitive skills with the help of experienced ANASAZI TrailWalkers.

DawnStar Expeditions allow ANASAZI alumni to refresh their knowledge of the ANASAZI Way and relive some of their awakenings from the Trail. For those new to ANASAZI, the courses provide a powerful introduction to the program's principles. The cost is $850 per student, with discounts for families sending more than one child. Scholarships are available to those who qualify.
