Thank you for your interest in the ANASAZI Foundation and it's mission to serve youth. Your interest indicates the desire you have to help young people and their families.

Here are a few things to consider prior to seeking employment or volunteer opportunities at the ANASAZI Foundation:

  • In the 1960s, the founders of ANASAZI learned, as they developed the concepts and principles for the organization, that one's lifestyle and "way of being" in their personal lives directly impacts the employee's ability to facilitate positive change in the hearts of youth. At ANASAZI it is impossible to "work" and put on a different persona than you carry with you during your "non-work" life.

  • We expect all of our staff, employees and volunteers to live by high moral standards that allows them to bring a positive and uplifting "persona," "spirit," or "way of being" to ANASAZI. This "way of being" enables them to have powerful connections with children and young adults and will communicate a positive message of trust, love and friendship. What we mean by living "high moral standards" is that you will abstain from: use of illegal drugs, use of alcohol and all tobacco products, pornography, sexual intimacies outside of marriage, crude or vulgar language, etc. You must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Due to the nature of the job, we ask that TrailWalkers remove all piercings and, when possible, cover tattoos while working.
"I love that the TrailWalkers are such great role models--and I love how humble they are because they let the kids know they are learning things right along with them out on the trail. I love that they are willing to sacrifice the comforts of modern life to make a difference in our kid's lives. I think the magic and power of a TrailWalker exists because they really BELIEVE in what they are doing--because they are really LIVING the ANASAZI Way and the YoungWalkers KNOW it. The kids can pick out a fake in a heartbeat and these kids know the TrailWalkers ARE NOT FAKING. My heart will be forever full of gratitude to the TrailWalkers who walked with and loved my daughter on the trail."   -- ANASAZI Parent

If you feel that you can live by these standards we happily accept your application for employment at the ANASAZI Foundation.

"I was doing a lot of wrong things, but Anasazi gave me a chance. When you get caught up in bad things, it’s hard to break free, especially when it’s a daily thing. Now I’ve left all of that behind me."
--Young Walker, Arizona
