Licensing and Accreditation
ANASAZI Foundation is founded upon tried and true principles and methods. The founders of ANASAZI have more than 40 years of experience serving at-risk youth in outdoor survival settings.

ANASAZI is a non-profit organization serving youth 12-17 and young adults 18+ years old with substance abuse and emotional and behavioral concerns. ANASAZI is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Office of Behavioral Health and the Department of Economic Security, Administration for Children Youth and Families. ANASAZI is accredited nationally by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (Joint Commission) and the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children (COA).

The professional staff organization at ANASAZI includes an M.D., a Psychologist, a Ph.D. marriage and family therapist, social workers, certified addiction counselors and registered nurses. Treatment at ANASAZI is under the supervision of the Psychologist and Clinical Director utilizing a case manager system. The minimum direct staff to patient ratio is one to three. Group sizes range from three to nine.

ANASAZI maintains a quality assurance/utilization review program to monitor quality and effectiveness of treatment. Weekly staffings are conducted to evaluate progress and review treatment plans for each patient.

ANASAZI has written agreements with an urgent care facility and a Joint Commission accredited hospital for diagnostic (including x-ray and laboratory) and emergency (including major surgical) services.
