Mesa, Arizona (November 2, 2011) – Soulful Canadian tenor and EMI recording artist Mark Masri will perform with national recording acts Lindsey Stirling and Firefly at ANASAZI Foundation’s Scholarship Gala, November 17, at the Legado Hotel in Gilbert, Arizona. The event raises funds for financially challenged families seeking intervention and treatment services to save a son or daughter in crisis.

Renowned internationally for his passionate vocals and romantic ballads, Masri’s music spans both classical and contemporary genres. His ability to sing in six languages, including Italian in his virtuosic performance of “Caruso,” adds to his romantic appeal, which has been described by the Boston Globe as “melting the hearts of female audience members like chocolate in the palm of warm hands.”

Masri has performed and recorded with many notable artists, including Jim Brickman and Olivia Newton-John. He recently appeared in back-to-back PBS specials with Brickman and legendary hit-maker David Foster.

Joining Masri at the November 17 event is hip-hop violinist Lindsey Stirling, who gained national fame as a fan favorite on America’s Got Talent. Nashville recording artists Firefly will open the show and perform the event’s theme song, titled “Here Comes Hope.”

The Scholarship Gala also highlights the remarkable stories of ANASAZI alumni – young people who have overcome significant personal challenges to rebuild family relationships and achieve goals that once seemed beyond their reach. For reservations and table sponsorships, call (800) 678-3445 or e-mail sponsorships@anasazi.org.
